CHRISTINA ROMELUS

Boynton Beach City Commissioner Christina Romelus is the youngest person, and only woman, on the current Commission. She has served on the city’s Building Board of Adjustment and Appeals, the Community Redevelopment Agency Advisory Board, and was a member of Boynton Beach Sister Cities. In her late 20s, she has been an adjunct instructor at Palm Beach State College, a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Maxim HealthCare Services, and was employed by Bethesda Memorial Hospital working on medical/telemetry and oncology floors treating adult and geriatric patients. She graduated from the University of Miami (“Go Canes!”) with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and received her Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Barry University in Miami Shores.

Commissioner Romelus – originally from Port-au-Prince – has done missionary work as a volunteer nurse during the Haiti Earthquake Relief and in the Dominican Republic, and has volunteered as a nurse for the Muscular Dystrophy Association Summer Camp. She’s an honorary member of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity. She and her husband Darren have two sons, Christian Alexander and David Lee.
